Hey Toxicas! I hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather. I am currently writing this in two day old sweats while eating frozen taquitos. It’s safe to say I am deep into editing Book Two of the Calavera Hotel series. Once I get into the editing process I am disconnected from reality.
I am also a summer time saddie. One thing I talk about in book two that resonates is anniversary trauma. After losing my grandfather in July of 2015 I notice summers are harder for me. He was my only father figure and we were very close. It’s obviously gotten better with therapy but sometimes the body still stores the pain . Be gently with yourself if you are going through that. Our mental health matters all the time not just in May.
