Prepare to be sick of me
Summer stresses me out, Spring is crusty, Winter is chillona season, but fall…. fall is my favorite. It’s where I strive to live. It’s the colors, its the dead, it’s all my favorite people the Virgos, the Libras, and even those crazy ass Scorpios. Since its my favorite time of the year, expect to see more newsletters from me.
While I’d love to always just shove my book in your face every newsletter, I think it’s safe to assume most of you have read it. So going forward my newsletter will provide book info but now I will be adding in more witchy things, shop items/updates from Etsy, (if you didn’t know I run an online botanica), challenges, Spooky Tingz, recipes, pendejadas and more highlights on the book community as well as Latine Authors I know & love.

Pumpkin Horchata Recipe
1 C. Rice
1 ½ C. Water
2 Cinnamon sticks
Let rice, water and cinnamon sticks sit over night or at least 4 hours.
1 C. Pumpkin Puree
1 tbs vanilla extract
1 tsp Pumpkin Spice
2 Cups Milk
1 Can evaporate milk
1 Can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups of water
In a blender add rice, water, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice. Blend and strain. Return to blender and add in remaining ingredients. This was sweet enough for me but if you feel like you want it sweeter than feel free to add sugar.
This is my PA Crystal, she’s known as @gothic_chicana on the gram and has the most beautiful aesthetics. I love her easy going personality. She is Chicana to the core, she gets my humour, she has the best Nacho Libre references, the cutest doggies and I probably have a big lesbian crush on her. I am a sucker for Geminis which more than half the Baddies on my street team happen to be Geminis. Coincidence? I think not.
Crystal has been great at putting me in my place but also helping me navigate some of the things I’m learning as a new author. We are both learning together, so if I do something you don’t like let’s just blame her together.

ohhhh wait I did promise ya’ll some chisme right? Well your girl is going to be joining the list of authors in attendance at Villians and Vixens in Grapevine, Texas Sept 5&6, 2025!!! I’ve been screaming, crying, throwing up since I found out. I’m so excited to attend this book event!
